Arc Flash Risk Assessment warning label Version 3.9.10 : Feature 6445 30/07/2019

A new Arc Flash Risk Assessment warning label template that includes equipment description in the same cell as equipment identifier has been created. The new template is named ArcFlashHazardLabels_Option5_2015.dot. To select the new template:

  • Select Tools > Program Options
  • In “Program Options” window, select “Results” and click “Modify Options”
  • In “Study Options” window, click “Select…”
  • Navigate to the ERACS Templates folder and select ArcFlashHazardLabels_Option5_2015.dot


Protection Co-ordination Results Table Version 3.9.10 : Feature 6438 30/07/2019

Protection Sequence of Operation Version 3.9.10 : Feature 6382 30/07/2019

A Sequence of Operation facility has been made available after a Protection Co-ordination study has been performed. The facility presents a chart, in the form of a timeline, and a table that lists the protection devices and switchgear that have operated in an attempt to clear the fault that has been applied.

Library Key Usage Facility Version 3.9.10 : Feature 6340 30/07/2019

A Library Key Usage facility has been created and is available via the ERACS File menu. The facility presents a list of all keys (models) contained in the library used by one of the single-line diagrams in the currently open ERACS database. The information presented includes the key name, description, type and whether it is in use by the single-line diagram.

Relay models that represent the overcurrent & earth-fault functions of the Schneider MiCOM P521 protection relay have been added to our reference library.


Loadflow Study Setup Panel Version 3.9.10 : Feature 6158 30/07/2019

A Loadflow study setup panel has been created, which enables you to review and set Loadflow parameters prior to a Loadflow study being executed. By default, the setup panel will be displayed. However, an option has been included that enables you to choose whether the panel is shown.

Automatic Loadflow Calculation Version 3.9.10 : Feature 5804 30/07/2019

If a Loadflow-dependent calculation (e.g. Fault) is launched and Loadflow results are not available, rather than a message being presented and the user having to manually execute the Loadflow calculation, ERACS will now execute the Loadflow calculation automatically.


Updated Reference Library Version 3.9.10 : Feature 5559 30/07/2019

Models of the Schneider Electric three-phase mineral oil or MIDEL fluid filled standard loss and low loss 2-winding transformers have been added to our reference library. The manufacturer data sheet did not include zero sequence impedance, so we have set it equal to the positive sequence.


Simplified Data Entry for 2-Winding Transformers Version 3.9.10 : Feature 5341 30/07/2019

A nameplate data entry method has been added to the 2-winding transformer library data entry form. This method matches as closely as possible data listed on a typical transformer nameplate and offers a variety of ways of entering impedance data:

  • specified Impedance & Load Loss,
  • specified Impedance and estimated X/R Ratio (based on specified Apparent Power Rating),
  • specified Impedance & X/R Ratio,
  • specified Resistance & Reactance.
