<< IMPORTANT NOTICE >>
Development of and support for the ERACS software product will come to an end on 21 December 2023. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.
Details of new features & fixes across the ERACS versions.
Cable data including data sheets have been supplied by Prysmian for use by the ERACS Team and have been added to the ERACS Reference Library (including updated zero sequence impedance information)
An item labelled '1000 yards' has been added to the list used to describe the per unit length of a cable.
When a network diagram displays results the study type (Loadflow, Fault, IEC 909, etc.) and study title are shown in the window caption to make it easier to identify the window contents, particularly when multiple windows are open.
ERACS has the option to include or not include induction machine contribution in the classical fault calculation and protection co-ordination programs. Both programs have been updated to improve the calculation when induction machine contribution is turned off.
A button has been included in the Text toolbar that enables text to be added to a diagram.
When a busbar has measured voltage distortion (G5/4 data) associated with it a symbol is included on the network diagram.
An appearance tab has been included in the data entry forms for all types of element. This tab includes controls that enable you to specify some of the graphical properties for that element. For example, whether results should be displayed on the single line diagram.
The colours used to represent the phases have been aligned throughout Europe to be Brown, Black, Grey. ERACS has been modified so that it uses the new colours, rather than the old Red, Yellow and Blue, and refers to the phases using the L1, L2 & L3 naming convention instead of by colour.
Medium and low voltage circuit breaker models for various types of circuit breakers (air, SF6, Oil, MCCB & Vacuum) have been updated including models of their tripping units and new graphical symbols. This includes updated data in the reference library.
Web security key diagnostics upgraded to included more informative messages when ERACS is unable to connect to the web access server.
When an induction machine has a mechanical load attached a symbol is included on the network diagram
A wizard facility has been added to ease the creation of a new ERACS Network and explains the relationship between an ERACS Network, Data State, Library and Database.
An Arc Flash Hazard module has been added to ERACS. This module analyses arc flash hazards for electrical networks modelled in ERACS and is based upon: - IEEE Std 1584-2002: IEEE Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations - IEEE Std 1584a-2004: IEEE Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations - Amendment 1 (which provides additions and corrections to IEEE Std 1584-2002) - NFPA 70E-2004: Standard for Electrical Safety In the Workplace
A 'Grid Infeed' branch has been included in the treeview of the results selection form for each of the following entries: element data, loadflow, fault, harmonic injection, transient stability, protection co-ordination and G5/4. Previously combined with the results selection for a synchronous machine.
