<< IMPORTANT NOTICE >>
Development of and support for the ERACS software product will come to an end on 21 December 2023. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.
Details of new features & fixes across the ERACS versions.
1. Intelligent curve hints 2. Enhanced and clearer colour coded curves and labels 3. Individual curves can be temporarily hidden
A "Toggle" option has been added to the group switching facility. The group switching facility is now also available for ERACS users provided with the "Operator" access mode.
A "protection" toolbar has been added to the ERACS main application window and provides quick access to the main protection functions (New Setting Graph, Open Existing Setting Graph, Edit Device Settings, Stability Checking, Dynamic Studies & Protection Analyser)
A new facility has been provided that enables you to more easily edit the settings of a protection device.
It is now possible in protection co-ordination, harmonic impedance and transient stability to print curves in black and white using "grayscale" as well as the original "dots and dashes" style.
ERACS cable entry and library data entry forms have been modified to use the terms: "Rating in Air", "Rating in Ground" & "Rating in Duct". As the RINA Cable Reports (69-30) show that the highest rating is not always in air and is dependent on the cable's CSA, the descriptions have been changed from "Highest Rating in Air", "Normal Rating Underground" & "Lowest Rating in Duct".
ERACS User & Technical manuals may now be opened from within ERACS using Adobe Acrobat as well as previously Acrobat Reader.
The method used to sort the protection devices that have been selected for inclusion in a protection graph has been updated. Devices may be now added, removed and sorted
It is now possible to individually control which items will be snapped-to-grid. Four options are available: "Snap elements to grid", "Snap text to grid", "Snap identifiers to grid", and "Snap results to grid".
Default option added to "save" or "not save" study results.
The maximum number of LM6000Pa gas turbines has been increased from 5 to 10.
Additional text has been included on the delete database form to inform users that only empty databases can be deleted.
The ability to display the discrimination margin between two protection devices has been included on the protection graphs. Multiple selections may be displayed on the same graph using either common fault currents per pair of curves or individual fault currents. This feature illustrates the margin using a shaded region of a user defined colour. A second region, using the same colour is drawn and includes the current and operating time of each device, together with the discrimination time between the two devices.
When a protection device is selected for inclusion in a protection graph the device is shown flashing and now a tick is drawn over the top of the protection device symbol.
The checks ERACS makes to decide whether a new data state and new network are required have been updated.
