<< IMPORTANT NOTICE >>
Development of and support for the ERACS software product will come to an end on 21 December 2023. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.
Details of new features & fixes across the ERACS versions.
Additional example data has been added the ERA_Reference_Library (Static VAr compensators, shunts, harmonics sources, time variant functions, mechanical loads etc).
Data and result locations have been added to the interface as well as bus section and circuit breaker switch groups.
A new access level called "Student" has been created. This level provides all the same rights as "User" access level, except that students are prevented from changing their own password and username.
ERACS has been modified to enable the Supervisor's (the user with username "Supervisor") Password, Full Name, Phone, Fax and E-mail fields to be edited. The Username and Access Level can not be edited. To access this facility you must be logged into ERACS as the Supervisor.
The minimum polarisation voltage for all protection relays is now 0.0001% and the default value is now set to the minimum allowed rather than 1%.
A section on controlled shunts has been added to the manual. A note has also been included in the element data section of the technical manual to remind users that when adding a capacitor to the library using the fixed impedance model the reactance should be set negative. If the fixed admittance model is employed then the susceptance should be set positive.
Transient setup has been modified so that when a switch event is made the next logical switching action is pre-selected. For example, if the last event applied to the switch is "open", "close" will be pre-selected and vice versa.
When a network is created a default set of results is automatically associated with it for each of the calculations.
Pre-study protection curves. Should the selected protection devices be at different voltage levels facilities have now been provided to enable you to edit the reference voltage. To change the reference voltage select the option called "Reference Voltage..." from the Edit menu. This option is also provided from the sub-menu presented when "Edit" is selected in the graph's right button pop-up menu.
Protection devices can now be attached to Bus Sections.
Two facilities have been included that enable directional protection relays to be identified on the network diagram: 1) If one or more of the relays at a given location are directional then a letter "D" is written in the centre of the relay symbol. 2) If a relay is directional and its identifier is displayed, an appropriately directioned arrow will prefix the label. By default these features are enabled. However, both may be disabled/enabled by checking items in the Protection option of the View menu.
The maximum number of points for harmonic impedance graphs has been increased from 400 to 4000.
