<< IMPORTANT NOTICE >>
Development of and support for the ERACS software product will come to an end on 21 December 2023. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.
Details of new features & fixes across the ERACS versions.
Facilities have been added to the "System" page of the "Program Options" window that will enable you to define a folder that ERACS will automatically select when you create a new database.
Our Python interface has been extended to include our Harmonic Injection calculation. That means the calculation can be automated / scripted using Python, allowing multiple simulations to be performed and analysed outside of the ERACS environment. Documentation can be found via the associated link below.
Shunts that employ our fixed impedance or admittance models and have their zero sequence data defined will have an earth symbol attached to them in the single-line diagram.
Models that represent a number of Prysmian 33kV, single core, copper, XLPE, lead sheathed cables have been included in our reference library.
The following results are now available for presentation on your single-line diagram...
An autosave facility has been included. You will notice a small window will appear at the bottom left corner of your single-line diagram. That window includes an option to enable autosaving of modifications (data, graphical or calculation results) made to the single-line diagram. By default, the option is turned off, but it is very simple to turn on - simply "tick" the option in the aforementioned window. If enabled, every minute (the polling time can be adjusted) ERACS will check whether modifications have been made and save them. Should you prefer to disable display of the autosave window, then options are provided to disable its display.
When adding a new transformer to the diagram and then rotating it, one can sometimes forget which winding is winding one and therefore not be too sure about its orientation. To help, when adding a transformer, winding one is now drawn with a bolder line than the others. In addition to that, an option has been included in the "Network Properties" window that enables winding one of all transformers in a single-line diagram to be highlighted.
The Arc Flash Risk Assessment module has been updated in line with IEEE Std 1584-2018. ERACS enables you to define multiple enclosures at each location, including their dimensions and electrode configuration. The Arc Flash Risk Assessment module then uses that information to calculate arcing currents, incident energy and arc flash boundary for each enclosure by implementing the equations defined in IEEE Std 1584-2018.
